If one subscribes for the 1000 bundle, how much does he pay at the end of the month to seamlessly continue using postpaid services? I get a bill but for me to continue using postpaid the next month, I pay the usage, say Ksh. 734 plus ksh. 1000, a total of Ksh. 1,734. Am on the old package of 1K per month. Is that how it works?

What if the bundles and free minutes I get after subscribing for 1000 can get met through for two straight months would I still pay 2000k for the two months or first I would clear the roll over.

This is way more expensive than airtel. The 3,000/= option for safaricom is what airtel offers for 2,000/= and whatever is not used by expiry roll over when you renew.

It’s a good decision, I oblige having researched through the existing market. Now tell us about the minutes which are not exhausted within a given period are they recovered or they expire.
At the same time what if I prefer more minutes compared to bundles can someone choose for themselves for example the 1000/= platform I choose 600mins plus 400bundles. Can tha work.

Very nice article explaining everything. My only worry is that knowing Safaricom, the data and minutes will most probably never reach end month, so the whole point of No Expiry wont be experienced by many.

In reply to Daniel. In that case you switch out of bundle rate of KES. 2.3 per minute, or KES. 1.3 per MB for data cut from your credit limit. That's why I stated you should use your credit limit to buy other bundles for calls and data.

This is fantastic. Thanks for the article buddy. The safcom move is more like what’s done in developed world. Hope we get there soon. By there I mean a point where no one can fail to connect with their loved one or moss out on something because they can’t afford credit. Actually, many countries have a fixed monthly pay for unlimited talk time and a bundle. Hope we get there soon

I knew i would be joining the post pay service immediately i first heard of it. Makes it less of a hassle to buy data bundles. This option is the way to go for me. However I’m having issues unsubscribing from blaze, the tarrif I’ve been using which has been of no help whatsoever. When i contacted safaricom they told me I’m still subscribed even though I went through the right procedure to remove my tariff from blaze so i can join post pay. They said i have to wait till tomorrow because of ‘technical issues’ on their part. They say the option is available to all safaricom users so this is not a problem we should be experiencing.
